Zusammenfassung: "Music for everyone" implies the right that we all should have: the right to participate in musical activities, to enjoy music. This right also extends to include music making in integrated (as opposed to segregated) groups in which a variety of abilities provides a broad basis for experience and learning. This lecture presents some thoughts and examples concerning music and movement for children and adults with disabilites. This approach always sees the individual as a whole person with many competences, who takes an active part in his/her own development in spite of any physical, mental, emotional or sensory disability. The individual person is challenged by his/her own disability. Our challenge as educators is first to consider the goals we are pursuing. On the one hand are the goals of leading to and learning music according to the possibilities of each individual. On the other hand are goals for individual personal development (e.g. physical, mental, emotional, social, perceptive) that are achieved or supported by the use of music and movment. In addition we are challenged in finding appropriate contents and methods to achieve these goals.
